Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 can survive a drop or two (video)

Here's a video showing off the various ways in which Samsung tests the drop durability of its new Galaxy Note 4.
October 8, 2014

It’s a horrible feeling to break your expensive new gadget, and we smartphone owners are a clumsy bunch sometimes. Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has already proven itself to be rather sturdy, having survived a bend and human weight test. Now we can see how the handset fares in a selection of drop tests.

The video above shows off waist height drops, repeated automatic drops, and a staircase tumble simulation carried out as part of Samsung’s development and testing routine.

With its large display and thin bezels, cracking the Galaxy Note 4’s display is a real concern. However, the handset appears to hold up very well throughout the variety of drop and tumble tests, bar the odd small dent in the corners. To play it safe, get yourself a durable case that will keep you protected from any potential drops.

That Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is pretty tough stuff.
