Samsung Galaxy Camera is now available for pre-order in the UK

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a pretty unique device. It's a point and shoot camera that runs Android. Despite its decent specs and HSPA-enabled radio, the camera cannot be used as a phone. People in the UK can now pre-order the camera from a couple of online retail sites and expect deliver in a few days.

If you are looking for point and shoot cameras to buy for loved ones this holiday season, the Samsung Galaxy Camera may be a fun little option. It was announced alongside the Galaxy Note II several months ago and we managed to get a hands on with it. Now, people in the UK can can pre-order the Galaxy Camera from a couple of websites.

Expansys and Clove have opened up their doors and shows the Galaxy Camera available for purchase. On Expansys, it’s running for £419.99 while Clove is selling it for £435.00.

For Android fans, this is definitely the camera to get. The Galaxy Camera runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with a quad core 1.4GHz processor, and 8GB of extra storage. It also has an option for MicroSD cards, a 720p HD display, and HDMI. Of course, this is meant to be a camera. On that end, it has a 16MP camera with 21x optical zoom and Xenon flash. So it’s not only in a class with the highest end Android phones, but it’s also got a pretty nice camera.

Of course Samsung releases the Galaxy Camera just in time for holiday season. If you buy it, it’ll ship either on November 12th from Clove or November 18th from Expansys. Will anyone be picking this up for a holiday gift?
