Final Fantasy Record Keeper gets a huge update: enemy HP bar, multiple Soul Breaks and more!

Did you notice Final Fantasy Record Keeper just got a new update? And it's no usual set of bug fixes and tiny upgrades, this update is huge!

Final Fantasy Record Keeper stormed into the Google Play Store last March, catering a dose of melancholy to all fans of the series. This is because the game takes characters from every Final Fantasy title and puts you through all the main battles. Playing Record Keeper really is like going down memory lane for many of us.

Did you notice the game just got a new update? And it’s no usual set of bug fixes and tiny upgrades; this update is huge! It brings forth new features and options that will really change your gaming experience. Here’s the change log developer DeNA Corp. published on the Google Play Store.

Game updates
  • Master Soul Breaks and make your characters more powerful!
  • You can now choose from several different Soul Breaks in the heat of battle!
General improvements:
  • Display Enemy HP
  • Remove All Party
  • Battle Settings: customize battle experience

Soul Breaks are pretty much your “special moves”, which could only be used while using certain equipment before. Now players can master these Soul Breaks and continue using them after they grab another weapon. I also love that now gamers can equip four Soul Breaks and choose which one to use during battle. We could only choose one Soul Break in the past, and we had to keep it until the battle ends.

Of course, likely the biggest improvement is the addition of the enemy HP bar. This really changes the whole battle experience, as now you will be able to calculate how much damage you are really causing. This will also make you a more strategical fighter, as one can now better chose which character should attack specific enemies, depending on their HP levels.

The real kicker here is that the listed additions seem to be accompanied by multiple other hidden treats. It’s said some of the characters have been improved, including Squall, Snow, Vanille and Cyan. These upgrades range from increased stats to added abilities and even the capabilities to equip different armor. One can also toggle Auto Battle to be always on, which will definitely make things easier for the higher-level players.

Want in on the action? Just go get your update from the Google Play Store. And if you haven’t played this game and are a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise, you need to download Record Keeper… now! It’s free to play, so have at it.
