We’ve seen alleged images of the Motorola Droid Turbo’s back, it has stopped by the FCC and all the rumors point to a launch in October. There doesn’t appear to be too many secrets left to tell, and now a new GFXBench listing may have given us a better look at the device’s specs as well.
Most of the info falls in line with earlier rumors, though there were at least a few whispers about the possibility of a 4.6-inch QHD display that sounded a bit off. As it turns out, the phone will instead offer a 5.2-inch QHD (2560×1440) display, which makes a great deal more sense. Some of the other specs include a 2.65GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU, an Adreno 420GPU, 3GB RAM, a 20MP rear cam, 2MP front cam and Android 4.4.4. The listing also mentions 21GB storage, though it’s more likely that the ‘official’ number will be 32GB.
Overall, the Droid Turbo is shaping up to be a pretty impressive beast. Too bad that it will be a Verizon exclusive, though here’s to hoping that Motorola releases a device with similar specs but different branding and aesthetics — a non-phablet Moto Nexus perhaps? Hey, one can dream at least. What do you think of the Droid Turbo based on what we know, excited or not?
