Cricket Wireless will celebrate its 19th birthday on March 17. As part of the celebration, the company is slashing the prices of eight smartphones to a whopping $19 a pop. Of course, as you would expect, there are some caveats.

First, the $19 price tag can only be earned if you are switching from another carrier (that isn’t AT&T) to Cricket. So if you’re a current Cricket customer, we’re sorry but you aren’t eligible. To be clear, you must be porting an existing number from any carrier except for AT&T, not signing up for new service to earn the promotion.

Second, the plan you sign up for when you switch has to cost at least $30 a month or more. That means the no-data-access Talk & Text plan is not eligible.

Finally, you must choose a smartphone from this list of choices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Halo (16GB and 32GB)
  • Samsung Amp Prime 2
  • LG Harmony
  • LG X Charge
  • LG Stylo 3
  • HTC Desire 555 (pictured above)
  • ZTE Blade X Max
  • ZTE Blade X

Android Authority hasn’t reviewed any of the phones on the list, so you’ll have to do your own research on which one would be the best choice for you.

Happy Birthday, Cricket Wireless!
