Crazy Taxi game will soon be available for Android

While we have yet to see a specific release date or any pricing, Sega has released a teaser game play video of Crazy Taxi along with the mention that the game will soon be available for Android.
October 15, 2012

Sega has recently released Crazy Taxi for iOS devices. And while that bit by itself is not necessarily good news for Android users, there was also the mention of the game coming to Google Play. What we have is coming by way of Sega, in which we can say that it is official as opposed to rumor and/or speculation. According to what was provided thus far, Crazy Taxi for Android is “coming soon.”

That leaves us to hoping that soon really is soon. The game, at least on iOS is available for $4.99, however Sega has yet to say anything specific about pricing within Google Play. At the very least, we can expect it to be the same. Otherwise, as Sega puts it, get ready to transport back to 2000 as this game is a remastered version of the Dreamcast classic.

Just like the price, Sega has yet to list any specific features for the Android version of Crazy Taxi. However assuming the iOS and Android versions have the same main features, it looks like you can expect the game to land with a soundtrack of music by The Offspring and Bad Religion and feature an Arcade Mode with 3, 5 and 10 minute game play as well as the Original Mode. In addition, Crazy Taxi will have 16 mini games to extend the fun.

All said and done, Crazy Taxi for Android will simply be the latest for a game that has seen a wide variety of platforms which began in the arcade in 1999.
