Okay guys, i have a problem which i find really odd and which i can't solve. When i'm using a mobile data connection, not all of my apps seems to be able to connect to the internet. But it doesn't apply to all o my apps. Apps like Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram to name a few works. But other apps like all of the google apps (except for Maps) doesn't work. Neither does Facebook or the Facebook Messenger app. And no browser works, i just get theese two errors: ERR_CONNECTION_RESET or ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED. But as soon as i connect to Wi-Fi, everything works. Has anybody had similar problems or does someone know how to fix it? Thanks!

Try performing a factory reset. That had helped me.

I know this is an old thread but just want to share that basically what's happening here are these two:
    • The internet connection is lost or disabled.
    • Your ISP blocks specific websites.
Ways to fix this are now available on heaps of articles over the web. Standalone apps (i.e. Fillr - autofill for mobile) has proven to be useful when internet connection is ON and OFF.

It seems you are here just to advertise Fillr.

I'm sorry, don't get me wrong bud. I use other standalone apps as well, it's just that this is what I'm currently using more often nowadays.

I have a similar problem and everything was already allowed, so no change. My data works for the browser and Speed Test app, but not for MMS or other apps.

    Any other ideas?

Hiii... I am using an LG Nexus 5. I am facing a similar problem from last 2 months. My facebook app doesn't work when I am connected to my mobile data network. But it works fine on wifi. My all other apps are working fine on data network and wifi too. Can't understand this problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling fb several times but it hasn't helped. I have registered several complaints with fb but no action has been taken by them. Can anyone please help.

After reading this thread I got it to work!
Go to settings- search the word "network" - at the bottom i seen "reset network settings"- reset them!
    Poof! All better!

I had the exact same problem and I am able to fix it. In One plus 5 goto Settings>Data Usage and on the top right corner click on the three dots to open up the menu> then goto "Data usage control". Here you'd be able to find out some apps are set to "wifi only" and some are set to "Allow". Check all the apps which are set to "wi-fi only" because those will not be able to connect to the internet using mobile data. If you want an app to connect using mobile data just set it to "Allow".

Also there are fine grained controls over each app under "Cellular data usage"> [ individual app] - such as background data, unrestricted data usage, Disabled data usage etc. You don't generally need to mess around here unless the above mentioned trick didn't solve your issue. Happy :1+: !!

If that fixes the issue let me know.

Hope this helps. If you have a Data saver that is turned on some individual apps may need to have the allow unrestricted data usage active on the app itself. This is what i had.

Hi Godfrey your issue may be the work wifi has specific restrictions for shopping and banking apps as it is a work wifi.
