Which is faster to open your Note 8, fingerprint or iris scan?
Which is more secure?
I think it got to the point where we no longer need to ask that questions. Like having 40 locks on your door and asking if 41 is better.
I would personally use the one that is more convenient.
I agree with Luka as it depends on an individual.
Thanks for the replies.
I used the iris scanner on my Note 7, and I think on my Note 8, (if I ever get it) I'll do the same again; Use Iris scan as primary and fingerprint as my backup. I just hope on the Note 8 the phone I get the Iris scanner works as well as both on my Note 7's. It was really fast, and worked as well at night as during the day. Some people claim they have problems with the Iris scanner, so I'm unsure if it's the phone or the person. Hopefully, I just have good eyes for an iris scanner.
I find the fingerprint is faster. When i have gloves on, the iris scanner will be faster.
I actually have both turned on. When I'm wearing sunglasses I just know to use the fingerprint scanner.
Based on testing at tomsguide, MARK says the best way to unlock your Galaxy S8 is a combination of using the iris scanner and fingerprint reader. You can have both options turned on simultaneously, both are fast and both support Samsung Pay. The iris scanner doesn't work in direct sunlight, so you can always reach around to the back of the phone to use the fingerprint reader in those situations. Read full article here
Personally. I'd enable both for that way if you can't use the iris scanner in direct sunlight you could always use the fingerprint scanner instead.
I use both, and it really depends on the situation.
Agreed. I use the fingerprint scanner. It's instantaneous!
