The Canon Selphy CP1300 is small and affordable, but it is a one of the best photo printers in its class. It weighs only 1.9 pounds and is a very versatile printer, as it can handle multiple sizes: 4 x 6 inches, 3.5 x 4.7 inches, 2.1 x 3.4 inches, 2.1 x 2.1 inches, and 2 x 6 inches (photobooth strip style).
The optional battery pack can make it completely portable. It’s also unique in that it uses dye-sublimation technology for printing. This means there is no waiting time after printing, photos are waterproof, and images can last up to 100 years.

Fujifilm’s Instax Share SP-3 is one of the company’s best photo printers if you want small square images and the commodity of portability. Fuji says it used this format to make the printer ideal for printing Instagram photos, which default to the same 1 x 1 aspect ratio. You can add filters and text to your photos through the app, and you can even search specific tags to find photos you want to print.
The SP-3 uses a rechargeable Fuji NP-50 battery for power, but you can also charge it with a standard micro-USB cable. While you’ll likely be charging it with a cable most times, it’s nice to have the option to replace the battery if you use a camera that shares the same battery format.
