With multimedia being the key to success these days, a number of celebrity, TV show, music, and movie personalities have taken to the mobile platform to release games of their own. These celebrity games can vary greatly in style and gameplay which makes them fun to look at, if nothing else. Virtually none of them have achieved the success of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, but they’re still worth playing for some people. Here are the best celebrity games for Android right now.

The best celebrity games for Android

Alien: Blackout

Price: $0.99

Alien: Blackout is an arcade mobile game similar to the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. Players guard a position and keep the aliens from getting to them. There are various strategies and your decisions change the course of the game. The game includes seven levels and it works in the Amanda Ripley story. It originally went for $4.99 and that was a bit expensive for how short the game was. These days, it runs for a much more reasonable $0.99 and is totally worth it.

Disney Crossy Road

Price: Free to play

Why wouldn’t we include a game that features almost every Disney protagonist ever? Disney Crossy Road is a Disney-made off-shoot of Crossy Road. It’s a lot like Frogger. You cross rivers, roads, etc without hitting obstacles. In the Disney variant, you can unlock over 100 Disney characters and most of them have their own unique soundtrack and level theming. It’s kid friendly, simple to play, free to download, and a good way to waste a few minutes. It’s also vastly better than most celebrity games that feature Disney characters.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite

Price: Free to play

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is an AR game that takes place in the real world. It features a ton of Harry Potter characters from the books and movies and game mechanics similar to Pokemon Go. Players leave the house, collect Traces of magic around the world, and cast spells at the Foundables. It’s a great way to get out of the house and you no doubt know the cast already.

Injustice 1 and 2

Price: Free to play

Injustice 1 and 2 are entertaining tap fighter games. They feature a variety of superheroes from the DC Comics universe along with cameo appearances from many other popular characters. Hey, superheroes are celebrities these days, right? In any case, the game has a bunch of playable characters, simple controls, and a bunch of stuff to do. It’s not as in-depth as a classic arcade fighter. However, it’s fun enough to kill a few minutes and not feel bad doing it. Both games are freemium and that’s easily the worst thing about them. Just don’t expect too much here. It is a very simple game with some really nice graphics.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood

Price: Free to play

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is a fashion simulator with one of Hollywood’s most famous people. Players don’t actually play as Kim but play alongside her character instead. You create your own fashion star, dress them up in hundreds of various outfits and customizations, and then storm the red carpet as a fashion designer, actor, or whatever you want. The sim part of it lets you date other people, decide your profession, and play through the game’s story mode while making decisions. There are also some social elements. It’s actually one of the better games in its genre, even with a celebrity tie-in.

Office Space: Idle Profits

Price: Free to play

Office Space: Idle Profits is a bit of fan service for fans of the movie. It features a variety of scenes and references from the movie. It’s an idle game. That means it basically plays itself. You can make it go faster by tapping frequently on the screen. Additionally, there are rare items to win, hundreds of upgrades and achievements, and more. It’s a freemium game, although buying stuff doesn’t really matter in this one. The ads are also a little bit annoying. Otherwise, it’s a fun little time-waster.

Pocket Mortys

Price: Free to play

Pocket Mortys is a game that features characters from the cult hit show, Rick and Morty. It plays like a Pokemon game. You play as Rick. Your job is to collect and battle various Mortys against other Ricks. There are 70 different Mortys to collect and a full story to play through that is rife with Rick and Morty’s unique, dark humor. It’s not a terribly long game. However, updates have helped add to the game’s longevity. It’s fun and it’s definitely different from most celebrity games.

Reigns: Game of Thrones

Price: $3.99

Reigns: Game of Thrones is an arcade simulator with a really neat premise. Players are presented with a story and a stack of cards. They swipe left and right (like Tinder) to approve or deny the actions presented on the card. The game continues if you make good decisions and ends if you make bad decisions. This iteration includes characters and locations from the Game of Thrones universe but exists outside of the main story so it’s something entirely different. The game is $3.99 with no in-app purchases or free with Google Play Pass. The developer has two other versions of this game without Game of Thrones tie-ins as well. All three have similar mechanics and all three are quite good.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Price: Free to play

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is one of the first really big and popular celebrity games. The premise is that Homer finally blows up Springfield. Your job is to rebuild it from scratch. It features tons of references to the show and you can even interact in ways consistent with the series (making Apu work long shifts, for instance). There is a metric ton of content to devour and it’s still getting new stuff in 2019. It’s large enough to keep one busy for months at least.

The Walking Dead No Man’s Land

Price: Free to play

There are a bunch of The Walking Dead games and you can pretty much slot any of them into this list. After all, people love that show. In any case, we went with No Man’s Land because it still gets consistent updates and most players seem to enjoy it. It’s a free to play mobile gacha game with RPG elements. Players collect their favorite characters from the show and rank them up. There are also PvP game modes along with a storyline quest.
