AT&T offers customers one year of free credit monitoring
AT&T is therefore offering those customers one year of free credit monitoring to help with any identity theft issues. The letter by AT&T was posted by the California's Office of the Attorney General.

Several days ago, we reported that AT&T had confirmed that a data breach occurred with some customers having their personal information revealed.
Now, The Verge (via Ars Technica) is reporting that AT&T is sending out letters to customers that had their data accessed by the hackers. AT&T is therefore offering those customers one year of free credit monitoring to help with any identity theft issues. The letter by AT&T was posted by the California’s Office of the Attorney General.
We still do not know how many accounts were accessed as AT&T has not released that information yet.
