Hey Android fans, guess what – Android 3.1 Honeycomb update for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer has come oozing out early than expected! The speculation with regard to this update is that it will be coming this June. However, Android’s sweetest version update for the Eee Pad Transformer is a bit early and has already been leaked to the Hot Hardware team.

The team loaded the software package into a microSD card and proceeded to do their dirty work. By holding the volume up while pressing the power button for a quite a long time, they switched the device into ROM boot mode and selected the update. In just a matter of minutes, the installation took place. Also, they grabbed the opportunity to run performance benchmarks so they can match Android 3.0 versus Android 3.1.

The Honeycomb update for the Transformer will bring a lot of awesome new features such as resizable application widgets and an overhauled web browser. This is obviously a big improvement since it now responds more promptly to pinch and zoom. Also, its multitasking capabilities have been enhanced and its responsiveness has been boosted. However, the Hot Hardware team has discovered that the Android 3.1 update they received revealed that the performance of Javascript was somewhat less than what was associated with Android 3.0.

We will be expecting the official Android 3.1 Honeycomb update for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer tomorrow, on May 31.

Excited much?
