Teleca Sync

Teleca Sync

Recently I have been looking for a file sync tool to marry-up my external SD card within my Android device with a folder on my PC. I want to be able to do this over Wi-Fi in particular. For some reason FTP services on my Android device will not allow anyone to connect to them unless they go via a Proxy server. As such, I have been forced to reconsider Syncback and running an FTP server on my device. As it turns out, Teleca’s PC Connectivity ‘solution’ is now working with Android tablets, which I guess means I should be able to get it working with my Froyo-ed Galaxy S?

Telca’s offering includes a Sync Manager offering you everything you would expect regarding contact, calendar, task, notes, e-mails and bookmark sync. To be honest many Android users already have these features because they are using Google for a lot of their application services. However, you can also enjoy ‘Auto Copy’ allows users to define data types, target folders, scheduling and more. Furthermore, you can use the ‘Media Transfer Application’ which will deal with your iTunes and WMP music and playlists.

If you are interested in this type of application check out the full press-release after the jump. Similarly, if you know of any type of application that will auto sync folders on my Android device with a folder on my PC over a local Wi-Fi connection, please let me know. Ideally, settings such as ‘only when plugged into mains power’ would be a great benefit. Press release after the break.
