July 24, 2013

As expected, Google, during its Breakfast with Sundar Pichai event in San Francisco, officially took the covers off of Android 4.3. There won’t be much of a wait before the update starts rolling out, as Nexus device owners should begin seeing it sometime today.

Hugo Barra confirmed that the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, original Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 will be getting the update via OTA. The new Nexus 7, set to launch on July 30, will have Android 4.3 out of the box. As for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTCOne Google Play Edition phones, they’ll also be receiving Android 4.3, but at a later, unannounced date. It shouldn’t be too long of a wait before the update lands, though.
