Action Launcher gets desktop shortcuts and other Android P tweaks

The latest version of  the popular Android launcher Action Launcher includes a nifty looking new feature, desktop shortcuts. It’s based on the new long-press user interface that Google has introduced in the Android P beta. With the new Action Launcher v37, when you long press on a blank spot on the screen, you will bring up the new desktop shortcuts menu. You can customize those shortcuts in the menu so you can get faster access to phone features like your current battery usage or if you want to lock or unlock your desktop.

The new version also has some more Android P-based tweaks, including the option for the dock dash feature that was included in the first beta release, but was removed in the current Android P Beta 2.

There are also a number of smaller additions, changes and fixes, including a much improved experience when Action Launcher users want to change the app’s settings.
