Acer Apire One

Acer Apire One

This device sports four bright colors and is coming to the UK starting at £250 (around $400). Acer have decided to pack this device with Windows 7 and Android, so you can dual boot easily to the robot friendly OS.

The device itself offers an Atom N550 processor (dual core) or Atom N450 single-core, along with a 10.1-inch LED backlit display (16:9 aspect ratio). We can expect WiFi, Bluetooth and the option for 3G should the consumer feel so inclined. Furthermore, the netbook will come with a 250GB hard drive and will start weight at around 2.8 pounds.

It does not appear as though there is a touch-screen on this device, which will make running Android less enjoyable. Indeed, the colors themselves are rather childish: Candy Pink, Lavender Purple, Lime Green and Hawaii Blue. Right now this device is only discussed with reference to a UK launch, but the word on the wire is that Acer are looking to include Android in other netbooks soon.
