Like the recent update to its big brother, the ZTE Axon 7, the Axon 7 Mini owners picked for the test would get to download Android 7.1.1 Nougat, making it one of the few devices, outside of Google’s own products, to get the most recent non-beta version of the Android OS.

ZTE says access to the preview will be available via through its own user forum, Z-Community. If you are selected to be a part of the preview release, you will have to agree to and abide by the company’s Non-Disclosure Agreement. You must also provided detailed bug reports and complete all of ZTE’s assigned tasks and surveys on time.

If you think you would be a good tester for this update, you can sign up to register for the Nougat preview at the link below. ZTE says there will only be a limited number of people picked to participate. There’s no word on exactly when the preview testing will begin, and there’s also no info on when ZTE plans to begin rolling out the Nougat update to all owners of the Axon 7 Mini.
