YotaPhone
Android device manufacturers have to try pretty hard to be unique these days. Without great innovations from Android OEMs, we wouldn't have phablets, 1080p displays on smartphones, or other unique features. We certainly wouldn't have a display that has a 4.3 inch, 720p HD display on the front with an e-ink screen on the back. The latest buzz, called YotaPhone, has the latter feature and it can be seen on YouTube for the first time.

If you're a watcher and not a reader, the video is posted at the bottom. The device is pretty unique. As mentioned, the device has a screen on the front and the back. One is a 4.3 inch 720p display. The other is an e-ink display. The YotaPhone is otherwise pretty nondescript.

So what else is known about YotaPhone?

According to the video, the specs haven't been fully finalized yet. It's been confirmed that it'll have at least 2GB of RAM and possibly either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. If the dual e-ink, HD screen wasn't a unique enough feature, the YotaPhone also has a gesture zone instead of soft buttons. Swiping from center to right gives you back and swiping from left to right sends you back to the home screen. That's pretty cool and definitely different.

The big news is the dual screens and the video provides a pretty good demonstration on how they're supposed to work. Is this a feature that could make the phone a huge sale? Let us know what you think of an e-ink display on an Android phone.
