More OmniROM nightly builds (based on Android 4.4 KitKat) are available for download for various devices from Sony, HTC and Oppo.
The list of newly supported devices includes the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia T, AT&T HTC One, International HTC One and Oppo N1, bringing the total of supported devices for nightly builds up to 21.
Just a few days ago, OmniROM announced on its blog that 15 devices have nightly support including many Samsung flagship models (Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Note 2), Nexus tablets and smartphones (Nexus 7 2012 and 2013, Nexus 5 and Nexus 4) and the Oppo Find 5. While Nexus owners already enjoy an official KitKat version on their smartphones or tablets, Samsung, Sony, and HTC devices are yet to receive their respective KitKat updates.
OmniROM is one of the most recent custom ROMs for Android devices, having only been announced a couple of months ago, and it already appears to be growing in popularity with the community.
We’ll remind you that while we keep you updated on custom ROMs, we don’t encourage you to install such ROMs on your devices, as such procedures will void warranties. However, since you’re entitled to do whatever you want to your Android tablet or smartphone, make sure you backup your data and follow install instructions closely when trying out new firmware versions such as the new OmniROM builds.
That said, have you installed OmniROM on any of your devices?
