We first heard about the then impending Sony Xperia S Jelly Bean update about a month ago, when we got info that the upgrade software would be released in only a few days. It has taken Sony longer than that to actually deliver the update. But now, after a bit of a long wait, it’s finally here.
Users of the Sony Xperia S can now upgrade their handsets to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. At least that’s what users in France are saying, as the update can now be acquired through the official Sony PC companion program on the desktop.
According to those who have been able to update their own phones, the Sony Xperia S’s official Jelly Bean upgrade comes in the form of firmware build 6.2.B.0.200 with the 3.4 kernel. We know that a lot of you have been waiting for this update, so don’t waste any more time and go check to see if you can update through the desktop companion software as well. If you find anything strange, do let us know.
