Sony has already launched the highly anticipated Xperia Play in 11 markets all over the world. Two weeks later after this, it will be launched again in six additional markets. However, it is quite surprising that United States does not belong in these markets. According to Sony, the Xperia Play will be launched in the US with Verizon sometime later this spring. Well, this is absolutely good news to countries such as the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. And for the US, this is definitely frustrating for those who can’t wait to experience immersive gaming with Xperia Play.

Sony’s Xperia Play is the so-called PlayStation Phone and it will be launched with more than 60 games which are totally free. These games are not only from Sony but also from other game developers such as Gameloft and EA. I bet you would love to play Assassins Creed: Altair’s Chronicles HD, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Galaxy on Fire 2, Guns ‘n’ Glory and Asphalt 6 which is the latest segment of Sony’s best-selling racing game. Moreover, classic games from PlayStation 1 such as Destruction Derby, Jumping Jack Flash, MidEvil, etc. are also preloaded in the Xperia Play.

Xperia Play’s specs are also really impressive. The smartphone is built with Qualcomm Snapdragon II 8655 1GHz CPU, Adreno 205 processor and a 4” capacitive multi-touch and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. With the slide-up PSP-like gaming buttons, you will love the gaming experience.

    Are you ready to play?
