The Xiaomi Max will arrive on May 10

The massive new Xiaomi Max is scheduled to appear on May 10 at a launch event in Beijing. Xiaomi shared details of the event on the Chinese blogging site Weibo today. If you happen to be in town and would like to be among the first to see the Xiaomi Max, you can buy a ticket to attend the launch for ¥199.

The Xiaomi Max specs doing the rounds include a 6.4-inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 820 chipset. The alleged front panel of the Xiaomi Max leaked a while back showing capacitive keys and no fingerprint scanner, although the subsequent render leak (shown above) has a physical home button, so there are still a few mysteries remaining.

One feature both leaks do share are extremely thin side bezels, making the Xiaomi Max a great option for anyone with a love for large screens and immersive media consumption. With just two weeks left to launch, we expect to see more leaks arriving soon. Where exactly the Xiaomi Max will fit in Xiaomi’s product portfolio we’ll just have to wait and see but at least we know the price will be right.
