After announcing its new JUMP program, T-Mobile has started a #Hate2Wait online promotion campaign that has 730 Galaxy S4s as prizes.
Short for “just upgrade my phone,” JUMP is a very interesting T-Mobile initiative that goes to show the carrier is willing to go to great lengths to distance itself from the others.
In addition from waiving contracts but keeping smartphone prices on par with the competition, and even cheaper in some cases – you’d still be required to pay up to 24 monthly installments for $20 each for chosen handsets – T-Mobile is now going to let you upgrade your phone twice a year instead of once every two years.
Sure, there’s some cash to be paid to get on the JUMP program, namely $10 per month in addition to your smartphone installments and uncarrier plan, but that gets you access to fast upgrades, not to mention insurance against theft, loss and damage.
If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, then you can tell T-Mobile why you’d hate to wait for an upgrade and get a chance to win one of the 730 Galaxy S4 units – there are 730 of them because that’s how many days you’d have to wait with other carriers to get your upgrade.
In order to have a chance at winning, you’ll have to use the #Hate2Wait hashtag on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Vine – curiously, Google+ is not included in this social media campaign.
There’s also a grand prize for one of the winners, a chance to have his or her story featured in a T-Mobile national advertising campaign.
