The Wall Street Journal started off another Android related story by stating that T-Mobile’s first Android OS powered device is “expected” to go on sale for US$199 and will “showcase” the Google brand. They are, of course, quoting those ever popular “people familiar with the matter.”
The story goes on to say that the $199 price will require a service contract with T-Mobile, meaning that the price is subsidized, and that T-Mobile will offer new “aggressively priced” data plans for use with the device.
Considering that T-Mobile already has a $20 unlimited data plan that even includes access to its WiFi hotspot network, I don’t know how much more aggressive they can get.
