Just yesterday Vlingo released a SuperDialer feature for its Android application that connects users to businesses on the Web.
Vlingo are best known for their speech recognition software. I recently got into using their software on Android and although I find it a little too slow for my patience, the potential is certainly there. The new features afforded by SuperDialer allow you to say “Call Chinese Food”. The app then kicks back with a list of possible Chinese restaurants and phone numbers.
I would then like to see fine-grained selectivity options like, call “John’s Chinese”, where ‘John’s Chinese’ is an entry on the returned data. Anyway, in general its pretty good!
