The veritable carrier, Verizon Wireless, has been sending out invites to select members of the media for a press event on July 23rd.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, for starters, it’s likely that Verizon will be updating quite a few phones which is, of course, good news.

Long considered the ‘best carrier’ in the US, Verizon has typically been one of the slowest to update it product lineup, but this is looking to change soon, as there appear to be several excellent devices close to launch.

It’s expected that Verizon will be unveiling three devices at the event: the Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and the DROID Mini. In a move that some in the industry dub as long overdue, Verizon is reputed to be planning to update Droid RAZR HD, RAZR Maxx HD, and the RAZR M, which were unveiled for the first time last summer. And, thanks to trusted industry leak-a-holic, @evleaks, this is what the rumored devices are reputed to look like:

Similar styling to what we expect from Moto and Big Red.

We’ll be there to give you the scoop with tons of hands on video, pics, closeups and more. Hopefully what we see on the 23rd is part of a greater plan of resurgence for Motorola. Stay tuned and let us know what to look for!

What do you think Verizon has in store? Movil anyone? HTC One? Or is this strictly a Droid affair? Let us know down below!

Typo? “…as there APPEAR to be several…”

Motorola just bring the Moto X already!

Me too, I can’t stand more hype and rumors so I just want to see the thing so that it will all end.

it is a shame really. motorola assured us that the hero would be the first device released in the post d11 press release. all we have so far is a leaked verizon and rogers date for the x that can be pushed back at any time.
