It has been rumored for a while whether a Xoom 2 would appear in the market or not. However, Verizon Wireless has just recently confirmed that 2 versions of the tablet will be sold around the late holidays.

The two versions will offer an 8 and 10.1 inch display. Some other official specs include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM. It will also hold Verizon’s 4G LTE Connectivity and will run Android Honeycomb (hopefully upgradable to ICS).

Tagging along with Cornings Gorilla Glass, the two devices will feature the same styling advantages relating to the Droid RAZR, showing cut edges. They will also offer a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.

According to our articles, we believe that the devices should be priced at $429 and launched around December 8, the same date as the Galaxy Nexus.

I think that Motorola could have made a bunch of improvements, specifically with the camera and the stock Android operating system. Anyway, what do you think about the device? Will you be getting it for the holiday season? I would love to hear your comments.

My role at Android Authority is currently as a writer, to accompany my past skills in editing and reviewing top products for this site. I now sport a Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
