Verizon announces they’ll carry the Note 3 and Galaxy Gear

September 4, 2013

Verizon Note 3 Gear banner

We know the Galaxy Gear will only work with the Note 3 right now, and will run $299 when it’s released, but where can we get it? Verizon has announced they’ll carry both of the devices, but that’s all they’re saying right now.

The preorder banner is up on the Verizon website, but no link is given. Nothing in the content is clickable, but the pictures are curiously bare. With the Note 2, Verizon famously staked claim to the hardware button on the front of the device, branding it as only they can — or would dare. This time around, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

The good news? Some highly anticipated devices are coming to the nation’s largest carrier. The bad news? We don’t know when, or how much they’ll cost. Aside from the banner, Verizon has no further details on their site about either device. They also didn’t share if these would be sold as a package, which Samsung alluded to for some markets during IFA.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this one.

Yeah 299 is way too much for that thing

I’d expect the retail price to be $149

  • Vinnie

Wow, very disappointing to me. Cut the price in half, lose the stupid watch strap camera and let it pair with all smart phones. I love my Samsung phones but I’ll sure pass on this “THING?”.

Agreed, I think this was a very last minute thing, they heard Apple had already been working on their iWatch and decided to want to be first and hurry and do it… and well this is what you get

I don’t think they just rushed with this device, what I think they put on it what they can with the actual technology.
BTW, Samsung is not working for Android they are working for its own system and devices just like any other OEMs.

I don’t care for others phones, I have been using Galaxy phones since the S and the Note 3 have not disappoint me… others companies will bring their own watch.
I think I like more TW than Android and the Note 3 is a pure TW phone.

It now says you can order it at 9am EST on Friday

I had galaxy note 2 last year, no way I’m falling for this again. Same story different garbage. Z1 it is.

Fool me once… Bye bye Samsung

If there’s 2 things I love, it’s Debian and open source. Sony is so far ahead now. I may add, sluts. Free to use, free to abuse. Get my point?

Samsung, y u love Apple so much?

    • Bryan Z

lol! but Samsung was first… thats all that matters…… not

  • RaptorOO7

I didn’t hear about the bundling crap. Now I see what Verizon is up to and they better forget about it. Not looking to spend $600 on a bundle, now if its say $450 I might go for it.

underwhelmed by the rather plain looking gear.

Why on earth is this thing so costly???
Samsung should have waited for Apple to launch its iwatch
Apple always gets it right…der are known for setting standards
(Ik ppl are gonna down vote for this.but face the fact ;-) )
