Moto X

A leaked Best Buy inventory screen suggests that the Verizon Moto X may launch on August 29, although the date is yet to be confirmed by either the carrier or the retailer.

The leaked screenshot, obtained by Android Central, says that the Verizon Moto X will arrive in stock on August 15, and that it has a “street date” of August 29. The publication also says that its tipster revealed that the launch of the handset was “pushed forward three days” from its initial August 23 release date.

Since before its official announcement, reports have claimed that Verizon will launch the device on August 23, or almost simultaneously with the other new Motorola handsets. The Droid Maxx, Ultra and Mini are supposed to arrive between August 20 (the first two) and August 29 (the Mini).

Verizon Moto X

After the Moto X was launched, we heard that all carriers may launch the handset on August 23, with AT&T enjoying a MotoMaker exclusivity until November.

The Moto X will also be available from AT&T, Sprint and U.S. Cellular in the coming weeks, with a T-Mobile-compatible version to be sold directly by Motorola. However, these carriers have not revealed launch dates for the handset either.

How about they lower the price by half. Until then this phones doesn’t even deserve a post here or anywhere.

You are obviously just talking out of your ass. You’ve never used the phone so until you have experience to back up your claims, you don’t deserve to post here or anywhere.

      • Luka Mlinar

WTF man. This is the same exact phone as the

Sony Xperia SP. Only difference is the SP is half the price. No one should pay that much for a thing that in production costs a fraction of what you are paying for it.

        • T.J.

First of all, the Moto X is assembled in America, where people actually make enough money to live on, and is customizable. That right there is enough to justify the price. If you don’t believe me, look at any other product that sells products made in America as well as China. Secondly, this has the X8 chip which allows the phone to do a lot more than the Xperia, like the always listening, for example. Don’t say they’re the same phone when they’re clearly not.

          • Luka Mlinar

Why would i care if it’s made in the US? So i got to pay more to feed your azz? Why? When was the last time you bought a Croatian product? As far as the customizations go; That’s awesome! Wanna know what’s not awesome, sending the phone to the factory every time you want to change the back plate to another color. The X8 thing is cool. That’s why i didn’t say the phone is worth 300 but 400 bucks.

          • T.J.

Because paying people enough to feed their families is much better than enslaving them. Also, no one said you had to buy this phone. You’re welcome to buy whichever phone you want.

And as far as changing the color whenever you want, I’m not sure that’s an option. But you’re welcome to send your Samsung or HTC phone in to their respective factories to change the color. Oh wait…

          • Luka Mlinar

So your saying slaves make iPhones? I wouldn’t go around stating that :D
True, I don’t seed to buy it but i want to and that’s why it pisses me of. I’m done with this phone. I should have stepped commenting in moto articles once they released the price :/

If it just had 64GB storage, for around $500, I’d probably get it despite the otherwise average specs.

    • Luka Mlinar

This phone is worth 400$. They are asking for 699$. No way you can spin that with any argument.

      • M3D1T8R

What does that have to do with my post? I’m not spinning anything. I’m saying if they offered a reasonable amount of storage, and reduced the price to a reasonable amount, it would be worth buying for me. Since that’s not likely to happen, I’ll keep waiting for such a device.

        • Luka Mlinar

I’m just saying. Was writing a comment after i seen the one T.J. made :D
I agree with you. I will buy this thing if they lower the price. But that’s not gonna happen.

      • needa

none of the flagships are worth more than $400. yet they all ask for $699.
the materials cost between the moto x and is negligible at best.

        • Luka Mlinar

Top of the line chips cost more.

          • needa

the snap 600 is twenty bucks.
            like i said… negligible.
edit: it was twenty bucks when new (price of it in the gs4). now the 800 is out. so the 600 is probably less nowadays.

I expected the Motomaker exclusivity with AT&T to last 2 weeks max, but 2 months?
Motorola really flopped in this one.

    • T.J.

AT&T has a knack for getting exclusive deals. Remember the first iPhone?
