It’s not officially coming from Verizon, at least not yet, but Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version VRBMA2 is available to download to Galaxy S3 owners that aren’t afraid of installing unofficial software on their smartphones.

Naturally, we don’t encourage you to perform such tasks, especially if you’re not familiar with these procedures. But then again, you’re free to do pretty much what you will with your handset as long as you’re also prepared to face potential consequences of certain actions.

That said, we’ll point you towards the xda-developers Forums where the VRBMA2 ROM can be downloaded at this time. According to the guide, you’re getting “stock Jelly Bean factory images with root, custom recovery, unlocked bootloader and no data wipe.”

What you’re not getting, at least for now, is Samsung’s Premium Pack, which means you won’t have access to the multi-window feature, among other things, once you go for this particular Jelly Bean version.

Have you installed VRBMA2 on your Verizon Galaxy S3 yet? How does it perform?
