Verizon extends its 4G LTE reach in Midwest areas
Mobile operators are in a heated race to one up each other in their 4G LTE deployment. In the last week or so alone, we saw Sprint pledging to spread its 4G LTE wings to 100 more cities in the coming months. Then we have AT&T which very recently announced its expansion in a couple of new markets. Verizon, as the nation’s biggest 4G LTE provider, is also continuing to flex its 4G muscle.
Big Red’s latest expansion should bring great joy to folks who live in the Midwest. See if your area is covered below:
- Coffeyville, KS
- Further expansion in Pittsburgh, PA
- Emporia, KS
- Lawrence, KS
- Bremerton and Silverdale, Washington
- Rolla, MO
- Hays, KS
- Kansas City, KS/MO areas
- Tampa Bay, Fort Myers, Tallahassee (Florida)
- Buffalo, NY
According to Verizon, you can expect to see the 4G LTE switch being turned on for the markets above this month. With only 2 weeks left in September, we don’t think you’ll have to wait for too long to see those 4G bars on your phones and tablets.
Glad that you’ll finally be able to use your 4G-equipped devices to its maximum potential soon? Let us know in the comments below.
