If you’re a smartphone customer, you know what it feels like to be “outdated”. It seems like every week a new phone is coming out, leaving your phone left in the dust. Well guys, Verizon hears your cries and is working hard to keep you happy and paying. All that we know now is that a “loyalty program” is in the works for Verizon’s Droid customers.
After we first heard about this program, we expected it was specifically to keep Verizon customers happy and up-to-date with their hardware. If you have been paying attention lately, Verizon is getting ready to release a total onslaught of new super phones and they don’t want to leave anyone behind.
Verizon is not the first to do this. As of right now, this sounds very similar to Best Buy’s “Buy Back” program. In addition, Verizon had recently cut their $100 off deal on returning 2-year contract customers. It would only be fair if this plan was introduced. While at this time we aren’t quite sure how this plan is going to work, or if it is even free for that matter, but we do know that with phones like the HTC Vigor, Galaxy Nexus, DROID RAZR, and DROID4 on their way, Verizon is cooking up something special for us.
