Verizon CEO says Android phones by year end, hints at Motorola making them

    Android and VerizonAt an investors conference today, Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam said that his company will offer Android based smartphones by the end of the year, and he hinted that they will be coming from Motorola, which will be a “major player” in Android by then.

    McAdam also mentioned that his company would begin offering the Palm Pre and the BlackBerry Storm 2 in roughly 6 month’s time.
