Well, the WSJ had suggested it was going to happen this week, and the paper was right. A few minutes ago Google’s Eric Chu announced on the Android Developers Blog that the US and UK versions of the Android Market would now allow for non-free apps to be offered up for sale.
Now that developers can expect to make some coin from their work, we think that there will be a big wave of new apps showing up on the Android Market.
