According to Engadget in Spanish, LG has said that it is going to introduce 3 different Android based handsets this year. We already knew that the company was working on multiple Android phones for this year, but now the company has said exactly how many.
It’s unclear where Engadget in Spanish gets the following information, but the site is claiming that the first of the LG handsets is to arrive in June of 2009.
It will be very interesting to see what another manufacturer other than HTC can make of the Android OS, and we look forward to getting our hands on one of these devices as soon as possible. Interestingly enough, LG have not yet announced as many WinMo devices as Android for this year, though LG and Microsoft recently pledged to doing 26 devices together by the end of 2012, so this isn’t a sign of LG losing interest in Microsoft.
As we expected, things continue to look positive for Android this year despite its absence at MWC.
