Samsung posted on its YouTube channel its first TV commercial for the Galaxy S3. The short 15-second clip, entitled “The Next Big Thing Is Here,” shows one of the features of the handset in action, Pop Up Play, or watching a video while performing another task on the large 4.8-inch touchscreen display – in this case texting. This sort of TV-like picture-in-picture feature will also work when browsing the web, writing emails and performing other tasks.

While this particular ad ends with Sprint’s logo, and a reminder that Sprint is the only carrier of the Big Four to still allow users to sign up for new unlimited data plans, the Galaxy S3 will be available with six carriers in the region, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and C Spire.

We have already told you all you need to know about the U.S. Galaxy S3 launch, and you should already know that Galaxy S3 availability from Sprint and T-Mobile will be rather limited. In case you haven’t already pre=ordered it, you should make sure your local stores will have the device in stock.
