Another Moto X version is getting its Android 4.4 KitKat build, just as expected, the U.S. Cellular model.

The update will be released in stages, so it may not be available to all U.S. Moto X owners out there at the same time, but at least it’s coming out. After updating the Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile versions of the phone, Motorola is marching forward with its KitKat updates, managing to beat every other Android device maker when it comes to fast KitKat updates.

Then again, Motorola is a Google subsidiary, and no matter how much the latter keeps reminding us about the barrier between the two companies, we shouldn’t be surprised to see a phone like the Moto X get a quick update to the latest version of Android.

In order to get the update, check out the instructions provided by Motorola (see Source link below) and make sure you manually check for updates if your haven’t received a notification to update your device. Motorola is also briefly listing the new features coming with the KitKat update – you can read all about KitKat’s newest features and check out our video here.

Let’s hear it from U.S. Cellular Moto X owners, have you received your Android 4.4 update?

my advice…. do not update until things get fixed. my x is not as good as it used to be. battery life is worse by about 10%. and it lags on unlock using touchless about 10% of the time. bout the only thing u get from the update is cosmetic anyways. your choice. check out the support forums for more info
