With the American tax return filing deadline just around the corner (April 17), many people are scrambling to complete their returns on time, a tedious activity that is, at least by some, ignored throughout the year. “If only there was something that would make this whole process easier,” you say? Well, yes, there is. And it’s now available for FREE on Android (with some fine print).

Inuit’s TurboTax is a software that makes preparing and filing your taxes easy. It gives clear, easy-to-follow directions and provides a step-by-step guidance that shows you what needs to be done at each turn. The software is free to download, with payment required only at the time of filing.

TurboTax is now available as an app for Android tablets and the iPad. The app, similar to the PC or Mac software, provides you with a walkthrough of every tax deduction and credit you are qualified for.

Valued at upwards of $50, TurboTax is now free, for a limited time only, for Android devices. If you own a Honeycomb or ICS tablet, all you have to do is download the app, and just get started on your returns filing (you can complete it at a later date) before or on Sunday, April 1. You will not only be able to  file your taxes quickly and easily, but you’ll also get one-on-one tax advice from the company’s experts if you get stuck along the way.

Unfortunately, there is no support for Android handsets yet, so you will only be able to use this app on an Android tablet.

So for all those people who still haven’t gotten around to working on their tax returns, and you just happen to own an Android tablet, here is perfect opportunity to get things done easily before the looming deadline.

Who ever said procrastination doesn’t pay off?

I used to think that the iPad was better than the Kindle Fire. But I realised I was wrong after visiting a site. This site has helped me loads and it is the reason why I currently own a Kindle Fire and not an iPad. The site is : http://treyhall.tk
