The world’s first quad-core tablet running Android, the ASUS Transformer Prime has been a hot topic lately, besides the rumors of the Droid 4, and Galaxy S3. Many of us who love to root and install custom ROM’s on our devices were a bit upset to find out that the Transformer Prime had a locked bootloader, but ASUS has said they will release an unlock tool that can be used to unlock the bootloader and flash custom ROM’s to your heart’s content.

We’ve been wondering when, much like when will we get the Ice Cream Sandwich update, will the unlock tool be available? Today ASUS posted on their twitter that it would be available in February. Now February is only about a week away but that still gives ASUS a 4-week time frame to get the tool out to the public. So for now just hang tight and play some more Angry Birds, or whatever game you are constantly playing on your Transformer Prime.

Are you awaiting the bootloader unlock tool for your Transformer Prime, or are you content with how your Transformer Prime is right now? Hit up the comments and let us know.

my prime continually reboots making it impossible to use. I contacted Asus support 5 days ago but no response other than the auto reply that we will get back to you in 48 hrs.
