An unlocked version (most likely fake) of the rumored Samsung/Google Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime has just popped up onMobileCityOnline showing a price of $749.99 and listing a full set of specs for the device. The picture on the site appears to be from one of the many leaks we have seen over the past few weeks, leading up to the Samsung/Google event scheduled for this Tuesday night in Hong Kong (October 19th in Hong Kong/October 18th in the US).

The specs seem to be a little in line with what we’ve heard from credible sources, and with other rumors we have heard over the past few weeks – except for a few inconsistencies. For one, the site retailer claims there will be TouchWiz 4.0 on board, which is highly unlikely. Furthermore, they claim there wil be an 8-MP Camera — which we have evidence that tells us otherwise. It’s important to point out that these specs could very well fit just about any other just released or rumored Android phone, given the amount of specs provided on MobileCityOnline.

Either way, exciting and anticipation for the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime are about to reach fever pitch levels, folks.

On Thursday Samsung and Google confirmed that they will be unveiling Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) along with the next pure Google experience Android phone, the Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime. You can watch the live stream of the event here, at 10pm EST on Tuesday October 18th.

On another note, it looks like the official name (for Verizon anyways) is going to be the Galaxy Nexus.

What about $299 – you think it’s a fair starting point?

Get cerberus from the playstore for way cheaper, one-time payment (for life), simultaneously protects five devices and has tons of more anti-theft features…
