Batman fans who are eagerly waiting for the upcoming blockbuster movie featuring their favorite superhero – The Dark Knight Rises – that is due this summer will be happy to hear that a special The Dark Knight Rises mobile game is being developed for both Android and iPhone.
The movie companion game was just announced by Gameloft, and from what we can see in the available video teaser trailer, the game involves quite a bit of fighting, with lots of kicking and punching. We have no idea at this time what other features The Dark Knight Rises will have to offer, but we’re apparently looking at an open-world environment and hopefully players will be able to do a lot more than just fighting the bad guys.
The Dark Knight Rises doesn’t have a launch date at this time, and we have no idea how much it will cost, but we do know that various in-app purchases will be available. We have no idea what Android devices will support the new Batman-based mobile game, so we’ll all just have to wait for Gameloft to share more details on the matter.
