While Rihanna is busy giving them away, Telus customers are waiting to see when the HTC One X+ will be available and how much it will cost. Luckily, one of those two details is now known.

The HTC One X+, which has been listed on the Telus website as “coming soon” since last month, made an appearance in a print ad yesterday that showed the price at $129. The catch? If you want the One X+ at that price, you're going to have to sign up for a 3-year contact.

We've covered the specs before, but for a quick refresher, the HTC One X+ features a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1 GB of RAM and a 2,100 mAh battery. Toss in an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera, and you've got quite a powerful device for $129.

There is no word yet on what Telus will charge for the phone without a contract. The AT&T version of the HTC One X+, which launched just a few days ago, goes for $549 without a contract, so we expect that the cost will be similar for Telus customers. There is also no word yet on when the phone will be available, but the recent AT&T launch of the device may be a clue indicating a release soon.

Are you a Telus customer? Do you think the idea of locking yourself into a 3-year contract is worth it to pick up a HTC One X+ for $129?

Can’t speak for other countries, but here in Brazil the maximum contract time is one year. Can’t imagine what it’s like being stuck with a contract for 3 years…
