Earlier reports told of an upcoming Sony Ericsson Nozomi, said to come with a 1.5-GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and to be released before yearend. Recent buzz at the IT68 forums, however, reveal rumors of more powerful specs than initially reported for the Sony Ericsson Nozomi and a release date slated for first quarter of next year. AT&T debuts Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android smartphone

Today AT&T and Sony Ericsson announced the official launch of the Xperia X10 smartphone in the United States. The Android-powered X10 is a touchscreen device that sports an 8.1 megapixel camera and camcorder, 8GB of on-board storage, and a speedy 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The Xperia X10 will be available August 15 for US$150.00 from AT&T.

I just finished uploading my two part video on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro Android smartphones. In spite of the fact that I really disliked the original Xperia X10, the mini and mini pro models, which are much, much smaller than the original, are very nice and left me quite pleasantly surprised. Today Sony Ericsson announced its new Android-powered X8 smartphone. The device is a lower cost and spec handset than the X10, Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone, and as such features a 600MHz processor and 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera.
