How to install Jelly Bean’s Google Ears or Google Sound Search widget on your ICS phone or tablet

When Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was unveiled at Google I/O 2012, a lot of features and improvements were demonstrated for the audience. One worth mentioning is Google Sound Search, also know as Google Ears.

This new feature is a widget that detects music playing in your surroundings and tells you what you are listening to. Google Ears is very much like SoundHound or Shazam, but with added features, the most convenient of which is that of being able to buy the Ears-recognized music directly from the Google Play Store.  Neither Shazam nor SoundHound offers this kind of access to the Google Play Store.
