The $99 Vizio Co-Star Google TV box sells out in 12 hours

by: LucianJuly 27, 2012

The Vizio Co-Star Google TV might be the first Google TV box that’s worth buying. It now has access to the Google Play Store, which should include access to XBMC, support for OnLive gaming, and great specs for the low price of $99. Take all this into account and it’s not hard to imagine why the Vizio Co-Star sold out in just 12 hours from launch.

I can’t stress enough how important the $99 price tag is for set-top boxes or mini-consoles like the OUYA, which also uses ARM chips. Vizio Co-Star Google TV box available for pre-order for only $99

by: LucianJuly 24, 2012

The Vizio Co-Star Google TV set top box is now available for pre-order for the low price of $99, and it will start shipping on August 14th.

I think the Vizio Co-Star will achieve at least reasonable success in the market, and will probably be the most successful Google TV yet. Why? Because of two main reasons: pricing and games.

First off, $99 is the sweet spot [...]

The latest player to enter the market is the Vizio Co-Star Stream Player, which has just been introduced at an attractive price of $99.

The Vizio Co-Star comes with the latest version of Google TV, giving access to thousands of apps via Google Play Store, and full-screen browsing capabilities with Adobe Flash and HTML 5 support. Aside from compatibility with apps like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, M-Go, YouTube and iHeartRadio, it is the first stream player that also allows users to [...]

Vizio Introduces VTAB 3010 at CES 2012

by: Christine TorralbaJanuary 14, 2012

A year after Vizio stopped solely concentrating on TVs and joined the market for Android tablets and smartphones, they are finally ready to come out with their second tablet.

During CES this year, Vizio surprised everyone by announcing their upcoming line of laptop computers. However, this did not mean that Vizio already abandoned the tablet market. In fact, the company gave teasers about their second tablet, known more popularly as the M series but is really called the VTAB 3010.

Compared to the VTAB 1008, the new model has similarities on the 10-inch screen of the iPad. Moreover, the promo image of the new tablet indicates features such as front and back [...]
