Virgin Mobile is slashing its non-contract price of the LG Optimus V to $28, which is quite a bargain compared to the phone’s original $130 price tag. Eco-friendly LG Optimus Elite heads to Sprint for $29.99

Despite the fact that both Samsung and HTC produce a wide range of Android devices, from affordable ones to the more expensive lines, the mere mention of the two names immediately conjures up images of top of the crop smartphones. LG, on the other hand, is not quite up there yet as a brand. It’s not surprising to see the Korean manufacturer trying to make the most of its entry level smartphone offerings. Virgin Mobile USA to start Data Throttling in March

Virgin Mobile USA seems to be following in T-Mobile’s footsteps of throttling your data. From the looks of it, once you pass 2.5GB of data, your going to be throttled to lower speeds. Which isn’t to bad for a pre-paid carrier.

To make sure we can keep offering our Beyond Talk Plans at such great prices, we’re putting a data speed reduction in place for anyone who uses over 2.5GB of data in a month.

Will it affect me? Based on your activity for your last plan month ending in December, you could be affected by this change.
