G1 coming to T-Mobile UK on October 30 0 by Darcy LaCouvee on October 15, 2008 1:57 pm 0 It appears that the T-Mobile G1 will make it to markets outside of the U.S. quicker than we had anticipated. The UK’s RegHardware.co.uk is reporting that T-Mobile UK has stated that the G1 Android smartphone will be available to UK consumers on October 30th, a mere 15 days from now. It will be available for free to users that sign up for a 40GBP Combi or Flext plan, both of which will offer unlimited browsing and some combination of minutes and text messages. No word yet on whether the device will be offered in the same color schemes as the U.S. model or not. Update: The press release, below, states that the G1 will be available in black and white only, ship with a 2GB microSD card, and will support T-Mobile UK’s HSUPA network. It is unclear whether or not the USA model also supports HSUPA and that T-Mobile USA only refrained from mentioning it since their network currently tops out at HSDPA.
