Video: Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G Android smartphone

by: James TromansMarch 24, 2010

Todd Haselton from our sister site Mobileburn.com spent some time with the HTC EVO 4G Android smartphone at Sprint’s press conference today. You have already heard a little bit about this device earlier but now we have some hands on pictures and live video to show you. I wont go into all the details as they’re covered nicely in the 9 minute video which also have some coverage of the press conference itself.

Nonetheless, just to remind you, the EVO offers 3G/4G WiMAX connectivity, WiFi (capacity to share its connection with up to 8 WiFi enabled devices), Bluetooth, aGPS, forward facing 1.3 megapixel camera, 8 megapixel rear camera with 720p video recording [...]

HTC Supersonic spotted on video

by: Kelly HodgkinsMarch 9, 2010

The HTC Supersonic is rumored to be Android’s first WiMAX handset and is expected to debut in the first half of 2010 with Sprint. While we wait for the Supersonic to get the official nod from HTC and Sprint, we can watch this short teaser video which shows off the bright 4.3 inch display and the plain white backside of this Android 2.1 handset. No new details on the handset are revealed but the video is still worth a look for those interested in what might be the first WiMAX smartphone offered by Sprint. Hit the jump to see the 1GHz Snapdragon-packing Supersonic in action.

Video: Unknown HTC device spotted

by: James TromansFebruary 26, 2010

HTC Supersonic?

The video below is interesting, but is not really anything special. You can probably glean all you need to from the picture to the right. What we have here is an, as yet, unidentified HTC device. Speculation runs rife as to whether this is the HTC Supersonic, or perhaps the HTC Incredible that cropped up earlier this month. The latter of the two having already been filmed and snapped while sporting a vivid red ear-piece. Indeed, it would seem as though what we have here is something different entirely. Sure, it could be the Incredible, but the navigation pad at the bottom of the device would imply otherwise.

Updated pics of HTC’s Supersonic and Bravo

by: Chuck ZichJanuary 26, 2010

New pictures have been scouted of the HTC Supersonic and Bravo showing off more detail and less blurriness than previous reports.  The HTC Supersonic, said to be packing HD2 like specs with a Snapdragon processor and, more impressively, WiMAX capabilities has been spotted online in the past few days in some very blurry shots.  The phone can now be seen in a much clearer picture as well as a new rendering (although we believe it to be fan made).

The Bravo, which was first spied about a week ago also gets a fresh new pic and looks pretty much the same. I’m curious to see how the “optical joystick” functions.  We will have to wait and see, but hopefully both [...]

Rumor: HTC Supersonic to launch on Sprint with 4G support

by: Chuck ZichJanuary 18, 2010

Engadget has gotten an exclusive tip from a “trusted” source revealing the codename and details of what could possibly be the first 4G Android device to hit the market.  Codenamed “Supersonic”, the device is made by HTC and will launch on Sprint with WiMAX capability.  Here are the official bullet points taken from Engadget:

Codename is “Supersonic” — a name we’ve heard at least once before. Feels a lot like you’d expect an Android-powered HD2 to feel thanks to a 4.3-inch non-AMOLED display and a svelte shell. (For reference, the HD2 is 11mm thick, but we don’t have exact dimensions here.) It’s got a kickstand on [...]
