Woz would love to see iTunes for Android, also jailbreaking community reminds him of his youth

by: Gary SimsOctober 3, 2012
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who invented the Apple I and Apple II computers, has been talking with community members over at Slashdot and during the discussion the topic of Android popped up! According to Woz, Apple should port iTunes to Android. Woz points out that Apple ported iTunes to Windows so that it could connect with customers who didn't have a Mac. So Woz thinks that Apple should do the same with Android. "So why don't we port iTunes to Android?" says Woz. "Did something get closed up? I love Apple products and iTunes and wish it were on my Android products too."

“A lot of people say Siri. I say poo-poo,” says Steve Wozniak (video)

by: Bogdan PetrovanJune 16, 2012

Everybody loves Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder, tech wiz, and all around great guy.

Well, marketing people at Apple might not love him that much, actually. In spite of his glorious history with Apple and the unconditional love that he has for the company, The Woz has always openly voiced his opinions and he doesn’t shy away for criticizing his “child” when criticism is warranted.

Take Siri for example. The voice assistant was the single biggest new feature on the iPhone 4S and a main selling point for Apple’s formidable marketing machine to relentlessly push. Siri is also coming to the iPad with iOS 6 (by the way, we asked you if you’re impressed by it, see the [...]

Apple Co-Founder Prefers Android

by: Christine TorralbaJanuary 26, 2012

“Android phones have more features.”

For anyone who read and heard about Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak’s interview with De Telegraaf (a Dutch newspaper) a couple of years ago, his previous prediction turned out to be real. Wozniak spoke of kind words with the publication and even giving a prediction on how the new Android OS will eventually nab the spot from the dominating smartphone market shares of both Nokia and RIM. Moreover, Wozniak lamented that Apple iPhone wasn’t as versatile as the Android devices.

Perhaps it was this comment that led to some PR issues because on a later interview with Engadget, Wozniak said:
