The ICS updates for Sony Xperia Ray, Xperia Arc, and Xperia Neo have been gradually rolled out by Sony for quite some time now – with some even starting three months ago – but it looks like O2 subscribers will not be seeing what folks in other parts of the world are sporting.
You can criticize Sony for a lot of things, like releasing way too many phones and putting too much “bloatware” on top of Android being only a couple of those. Still, you can’t say the Japanese haven’t done a stupendous job with ICS upgrades.
Six months after Ice Cream Sandwich started appearing on the menu, most manufacturers and carriers are still unable to fully serve customers with the delectable dessert. Disappointingly, across the board, many phones and tablets are still waiting to get the update to the latest Android OS, that’s it if they’ll receive it at all. But that certainly isn’t a problem for Sony, as the company is ready to send out the ICS upgrade for not just one or two devices, but SEVEN of them in one go. Yep. As planned, Sony is now rolling out its Android 4.0.4 ICS update…
